Hi,

I have a speedtouch USB [ADSL] modem attached to my Redhat 8.0 box.
The OHCI driver keeps giving me these messages in the syslog:

Nov 28 14:47:51 vagabond kernel: usb-ohci.c: bogus NDP=64 for OHCI
usb-00:07.4
Nov 28 14:47:51 vagabond kernel: usb-ohci.c: rereads as NDP=4

The driver is as follows

lspci -v|grep USB
00:07.4 USB Controller: Advanced Micro Devices [AMD] AMD-756 [Viper]
USB (rev 06) (prog-if 10 [OHCI])

Could somebody explain what these are and if I need to tweak?

The USB Control reports 64 USB ports. The kernel thinks, this is
impossible and changing the number of ports available to 4.
If everthing works fine for you. Don't worry. If you have problems with
your USB devices. Worry.
