I'm new to this newsgroup, so I don't know if these questions have already been
answered.
I have an external CD-ROM with parallel port interface. I would like to know:
1. If I can install Linux from this CD-ROM.
2. If there is a device driver for such kind of CD-ROMs.
3. Compatibility issues with other drivers that could use this parallel port.
(i.e. a printer driver)

Does anyone know of a Linux driver for the BackPack CD0ROM by
MicroSolutions? It is external and plug through the parallel port. The
CD-ROM inside is manufactured by Mitsumi...
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
