Lexmark Printer Compatibility

Lexmark Printer Compatibility

Post by Christopher Reu » Wed, 15 Nov 1995 04:00:00

I am considering installing Linux on my new system.  I would like to get a printer but I do not know which are compatible with the
available Linux drivers.  The printer I am interested in is the
Lexmark ExecJet IIc.  Is this or any of the Lexmark InkJet printers
(WinWriter 150c, Color Jetprinter 1020, etc.) compatible or have
available drivers for Linux?  Are any of the HP's such as the
DeskJet 600 or 660c compatible?

Thank you.

1. Lexmark Printers (5700)

I picked up a Lexmark 5700 printer the other day and am really hoping
someone can tell me that there is linux support for it.  It'll do PCL,
won't it?  I didn't see much about Lexmark printers in the ghost
script docs.

Thoughts?
