I have an internal Panasonic (Matsushita Corp.) IDE ZIP-100 drive.
System is Redhat 6.0 distribution.
At boot, I see that the ZIP gets autodetected as /dev/hdb1.
I run 'fdisk' on this to partition , and then 'mk2efs' to format the
partition. All goes well.
However, when I mount /dev/hdb1 as an 'ext2' filesystem, the directory
looks strange, and I can't access it:
A directory listing of /mnt/zip looks like:
?--------- zip Dec 31 1969
Because I get no errors in partitioning and formatting, I'm not sure
where to begin to debug this. It looks as if it doesn't understand the
