Adaptec 2940uw With Slackware 3.0?

Adaptec 2940uw With Slackware 3.0?

Post by Jeffrey Schwar » Sat, 10 Feb 1996 04:00:00

I am trying to install the slackware 3.0 release with an Adaptec 2940uw scsi
controller, and I get a message about unrecognized controller, no scsi
devices.

I tried using the scsi and the aha2940 boot disks to no avail.  Am I doing
something wrong, or is this controller not supported? Any workarounds?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The default 3.0 disks don't support the 2940.  People have made versions
of them that do that you can FTP.  Read the FAQs and you should pointers
to the locations out on the net.
