Very Computer

I have a Maxtor UltraATA/100 PCI still in the shrinkwrap, I am sifting
through howto's etc now.

If anyone can give some info on this card it would save me a lot of reading.

What chipset does it use?

Where is a good source for docs/instructions on using it (under linux of
course)?

I have the same card -- it seems to be a Promise Ultra100 card. I went to
www.promise.com and downloaded the Ultra100 drivers for Windows and it works
fine. They also have a linux patch. but I think the 2.4.0 kernel should
support it natively.

Thanks, I've been trying to find out about this card for a little while and
was about to give up.
