1. Crystal 4281 sound card with Red Hat 7.1
Among my many configuration problems with Linux, my sound card is not
working. I have a Crystal 4281, and running sndconfig the autoprobe indeed
tells me that is what I have. Good so far. Then it attempts to play a
test sound for me, and I get several lines of errors basically saying no
such device.
My search on google uncovered a lot of problems with this sound card, but
the nearly universal advice was to upgrade the kernal. Since I am using
Red Hat's latest relaese, I am not sure what else to try.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Robert
