After installing Red Hat Linux 7.2, I wanted to configure the sound
card with sndconfig.
The tool detected the card as AZT1008 PnP (Sound Device : Audio). On
the next screen, I was given very few options (address, IRQ, DMA1,
DMA2 with not much choices).
When sndconfig tried to play the test sound, I got the following
errors:
The following error occurred running the modprobe program: ?
?
?
? /lib/modules/2.4.7-10/kernel/drivers/sound/ad1848.o:

? init_module: No such device

? /lib/modules/2.4.7-10/kernel/drivers/sound/ad1848.o: insmod
?
? sound-slot-0 failed
sndconfing went back to the start (and it was impossible to get out of
it, cancel just wouldn't work).
The card is AZTECH MM PRO 16V - A (HP 5064-2620) BP. It has two chips
marked AZTECH AZT2320 and TEA2025B.
Also, when I enter KDE, I get errors:
device /dev/dsp can't be opened, no such device...
Any solution to this, or is this card just not supported by Linux?
