bizarre problem with X windows

g'day
i recently installed redhat 6.0 on an aptiva and have got a weird problem -
when i move the mouse in x-windows env, the monitor makes a "buzzing" sound
(there is no sound when i don't move the mouse).  There is also no buzz if i
drag it over a blank desktop - only when the cursor changes from an x to an
arrow.  i have a sis6205 videocard(2mb) and an ibm g70 monitor.  the problem
does not appear when running win95 on the same system, even in the same
vidmode.  ibm and sis have been exceptionally unhelpful.  does anyone have
any ideas?
thanks in advance,
ben wilson

Sounds to me like your soundcard is sharing an interrupt with the mouse.
Not sure if that's easy to fix though, depends on your hardware, if you
can manually assign interrupts to devices, it wont be that difficult to
resolve.
Otherwise, I don't know
