RH 6.1 and Sound Blaster Live(Value)
Linux recognizes my sound card correctly but then says that it is not
supported.What should I do in order to make it work?

elinux.com says that Red Hat 6.2 supports Sound Blaster Live. Mandrake
Linux 7.0x may with Lothar configurator.
but first...try sndconfig (with switches) to see if you can configure it
yourself...is this a dual-boot machine? can you get the parameters from
windows?

I have Mandrake 7.0 and an SBLive, and sndconfig worked fine, with no
switches. That is, as well as it used to work with my AWE-64.
Playing works fine, but MIDI doesn't. So I use timidity instead of
playmidi. I haven't tried recording yet.
