P54TS with an onboard SCSI-Controller Adaptec AIC 7850 (equals 2940(?)) runs
with Linux or not??

I have an IWill P54TS (P133) motherboard with the Adaptec AIC7850 (2940
equivalent) on board.
How do I install SlackWare 3.0 ELF (Infomagic Release)? The AHA2940 boot
disk cannot format my partition or activate the swap disk.
I've gathered that new alpha drivers are available with newer 1.3.x
kernels, but how do I construct a new BOOT disk with the new alpha
drivers when I do not have a running Linux system? (Only OS/2 and Windows95)
