Hi,

First of all, I beg your pardon my bad English.

I am a  Linux newbie. I have a PC Pentium II 350 Mhz, 192 MB RAM, a
Guillemot Maxi Sound Fortissimo XL sound card, Best-Buy TV Card, ATI Xpert
2000 Pro Video Card, DVD-ROM and CD-ROM.

I Install in my PC a Linux SuSE 7.1 and the sound card is detected OK and
work fine.

I try change the /etc/modules.conf file uncoment the lines

options bttv  card=0  radio=0 pll=1
options tuner  type=5

in order of activate the TV card.

When I reboot the PC, several messages appears with "failed" in red color,
and the sound card no is detected, and if I run YaST2 program and it is not
possible detected the sound card.

I try comment the 2 lines, reboot the PC, but the several messages appears
yet, and no sound card is detected.

Thanks in advanced.
Francisco.

1. TV card problem - no sound from CEI Raffles card

Hi,

I have installed a CEI Raffles TV card from an old Toshiba Infinia PC into
my Linux machine (Mandrake 9.2).  I can get everything working with a good
picture in XawTV, but I have no sound.  I am certain that the issue is not
related to the hardware and I know there is nothing coming off of the analog
audio output of the card itself.  It is definitely related to configuration
/ software issues.

Has anyone successfully gotten TV audio to work with this card?  Any help
will be greatly appreciated.
