SMALL LINUX KERNAL

I would like to know if it is possible to compile the linux kernal with
networking & remote admin to fit in a two meg solid state disk drive.

Thank you

SMALL LINUX KERNAL

The typical size of my kernel is about 350k compressed, so I would say yes.
I think it is a little less than 900k uncompressed.

Try linux-lite, it's a 1.09 kernel hacked to compile as ELF with some
other improvements.

The entire kernel source tree fits on a floppy compressed.

The kernel runs with 1 meg of ram and can compile a 2.0.33 kernel faster
than 2.0.33 (like wow)

I bet you can cram the whole thing, kernel and root fs on a floppy,
ain't tried that though but...

Does standard networking afaict
