Ultra-DMA hard-drives supported in Debian Linux?

Ultra-DMA hard-drives supported in Debian Linux?

Post by Graham Lillic » Wed, 07 Oct 1998 04:00:00

I use Debian 2.0 on my 6.4Gb drive and It had no problems at all worked
straight away
As for UDMA, AFAIK its not supported by Linux generally but the drive
will still work, my UDMA drives do anyway.

1. More Ultra DMA 66 w/ Ultra DMA/33 IDE protocol Support

Hi...

Well...  I'm wondering if (through the use of a flag...  somewhere...)
FreeBSD will support the ABIT BP6 motherboard with Ultra DMA 66 w/ Ultra
DMA/33 IDE protocol support.  Any input would be appreciated regarding the
UDMA protocol or the motherboard in particular.

Thanks,
Bryan
