How well does the Siig USB/Firewire/Ethernet work under Linux?

On one of my systems, I am out of pci slots, and I was wondering how well the
Siig combo board that has USB 2.0, Firewire, and Ethernet work with current
2.4.23-pre* systems (and/or 2.6.*-test* systems)?  Ultimately I want to hook up
a DVD writer via either firewire or USB to the system.

1. SIIG PC Cards - USB/Firewire

Where do I post the driver spec for people interested in developing drivers
for these cards?

I use this USB/Firewire card in WinXP, but I would like to use Linux for
this.   Here is the card's site -
http://www.siig.com/products/usb/features/USB2_FireWireCardbus.html

Let me know to where I can post the hardware specs (the vendor provided me
with thr hardware spec to post)  for these or who is interested - thank you.
