I thought the same but the PD/CD-ROM makes problems.
My Controller is recognized correctly and my both harddisks also.
This is WHICH.ONE:
I know that all . I tested several bootdisks:
SCSI and SCSINET1 from Slackware2.3 and Yesterday night I tryed it
with SCSI and ASCSI from the Slackware 3.0 distribution. It won t
work. I have a Adaptec Controller 2842 VL and my both harddisks
are recognized but the bootdisk says first that my PD/CD-ROM is a
harddisk (scd) and later during the test it produces errors.
This PD/CD drive are physical two drives:
1. a rewritable Phase Change Drive
2. a CD-ROM
Under dos I have two disk letters.
We tested the Slackware 2.3 CD-Rom and SCSI Bootdisk at an other
SCSI-Computer
with a Pioneer CD-Rom and a NCR-SCSI-Controller an it worked.
