Hi!
Got a new mouse (Trackball), accidentally not the one ordered but
another one from Kensington (Expert Mouse Pro - 64213). Due to
the fact that this is the third time I ordered this mouse from
another reseller and got the wrong, returned the first two, so I
decided to keep this one.
The Device has 4 regular buttons next to the trackball and one
scroll wheel that can be pressed as button, making it a 7 button
mouse.
This is the Section of XF86Config which works best until now:
Identifier "Mouse0"
Driver "mouse"
Option "Protocol" "ExplorerPS/2"
Option "Emulate3Buttons" "no"
Option "Device" "/dev/input/mice"
Option "Buttons" "7"
Option "ZAxisMapping" "6 7"
Option "SendCoreEvents" "true"
In addition to 'xmodmap -e "pointer = 1 3 2 6 7 4 5"'. To get the
lower right button mapped to the "middle" mouse button, still not
ideal, only workaround.
Can't get the upper right mouse button working, I'd like to map
to the "middle" mouse button. Whatever tried, 'xev' doesn't show
any event on the upper right mouse button.
Strange enough the trackball has 6! additional buttons adding to
the "usual" 7 buttons, making it a 13 button mouse, but alas even
configuring that doesn't make the upper right button working or
any of the 6 additional buttons.
Toyed around with 'imwheel' but that didn't got me anywhere.
If anyone has this device working, it'll be great to see the
concerning section of your XF86Config and additional xmodmap
modifier.
