by i have a sun blade 100 (w/ a 3D Rage XL). i just bought a ViewSonic VG800
flat-panel. the flat-panel works w/ the linux console (and so the framebuffer),
however no amount of coaxing can get the panel to display anything under
X. i've tried all sorts of settings, fixed frequencies... not even
xf86config or x86cfg can get a picture up. any ideas?
i'm running debian unstable. everything worked fine before i detached the
old monitor and attached the new one. the display doesn't give any
indication of out-of-range syncs (which it can if i specify something funky
in XF86Config-4); it just stares blankly at me. the only difference in setup
is the monitor....
i've had to resort to using asciiview to view graphics, and running my
fractal screensave, xaos, with the aalib drivers ;)
