by Linux is very new to me. I have spent the last week installing Linux
from the Slackware CD set (v 3.0) onto my gateway pentium 75 in a
UMSDOS directory ( C:\Linux). The various disc accesses work fine but
the mouse, tested via the "test-mouse" program, doesn't. I can get a
screen of blue asterisks which appear vertically when I move the mouse
horizontally and I am then unable to exit the program. I've read the
documentation on the disks, I've read the various How-to's and the
Manuals from the LDP, all of which are excellent, some of which I
understand, none of which contain a solution. If any friendly Guru
has had experience of successfuly configuring Linux for a similar
comuter I would be grateful for any help.
