SupraExpress 56i PRO

Hi!

I have been trying to get the Diamond MM SupraExpress 56i Pro to work under
Linux, with no success.  I have Corel installed at the moment, although I
also have recent versions of Storm and RedHat, and some rather old Slackware
discs.

Could you help me:
(1) get this to work under Linux-It's a new modem, my old one is a PCTel
winmodem that won't work.
(2) is the SupraExpress 56i Pro a winmodem?

Thanks,
Russ

I could find no info about a "Pro" version of this modem, but I use a
SupraExpress 56i, which is not a winmodem, and it works fine using Mandrake
7.  What problems do you have?

The PRO is a PCI version, which has no support.

no Its a full hardware Modem it certainly works ok on SuSE 6.4 although you
need  to set its IRQ via setserial (not sure how you would go about it on
Other Linux destros)!

Init String is not ATZ but AT&F if you plan to use kppp or wvdial as your
dialer.
