I just installed a Western Digital 3.1G drive as /dev/hdd, partitioned
the drive with one extended partition, a swap partition, an 80M root, a
400M usr, and a 50M home partition. I then loaded RedHat 4.2, kernal
2.0.30 on it and made a boot floppy.
When I attempt to boot LILO hangs after displaying LI. Is it possible
to boot this drive from a floppy?
BTW, hdc is a linux disk, running the Slackware distribution(kernal
2.0.0). I can boot that kernal and do a symbolic link to the /dev/hdd5
and /dev/hdd6 and list and view the files there.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
