I also have the same board (Matsonic MS6260S). This wasn't my first
choice but it has worked out. I first read over the mini-HOWTO:
http://home.gelrevision.nl/~h.wolter/CMI8330_0.05.txt
several times and followed the instructions to generate the isapnp.conf
file. My first day working on it, I didn't get it to go. I think it
was because I was trying to enable the WSS and SB16 and didn't have
enough interrupts. The attached is what I ended up with to get it
working. I also used the DOS utilities to change the interrupts and I/O
base addresses on a couple of tries.
I hope it works for you. I sure am glad I read this news-group. I
found the information a couple of weeks after I got the board. I am
using it to run a 400 Mhz K6-2 w/ 128Mb of ram. Runs great. Compiles
kernel 2.0.36 in about 3.5 minutes! (w/ RH5.2)
