LINUX won't recognize IDE REVEAL 4X CD-ROM

Post by Mike Chilco » Mon, 11 Mar 1996 04:00:00

I am trying to install LINUX on my 486/66
I also have an enhanced IDE controller:

C: = 850mb  IDE Conner HD        (just for DOS & WIN95)
hda1                    - primary drive 0

D: = 212mb  IDE Western Digital  (all for LINUX)
hdb1  16mb swap
hdb2  190mb             - primary drive 1

E: =        REVEAL 4x IDE CD-ROM
                        - secondary drive 0

I run the BOOT disk, and the ROOT disk,
login as root, run setup, and it will not
recognize my cd-rom drive.

It works fine from WIN95 and DOS.
