SCSI writing error with GCC

SCSI writing error with GCC

I have a problem with linux since I have bought a new mainboard

Description
If I copy files from one directory (e.g /usr/bin) to another
and make a diff between this two directories no problems accurs
  with my configuration.
But if the GCC runs in another X-shell or console I have
writing problems on the SCSI harddisk (I think writing
problems, because the GCC shows no compiling errors and the
compiled programm or kernel produces errors)
Things I have tried:
 - played with system bios, PCI configuration and so on (award
   bios) no change
 - plugged in a adaptec 1542 CF same errors
 - installed linux on another SCSI harddisk same errors
Error reasons?
mainboard, AMD 100DX4, single 16MB simm (the manual doesn`t say
exactly  whether a single module is allowed or one group must be
installed but my distributor said it works )
My configuration:
 - Gigabyte GA-486 AM PCI mainboard with AMD 100DX4, 16MB
 - NCR 8251 SCSI controller with Seagate Baracuda SCSI II disk
 - Linux kernel 1.2.6 / 1.2.10 and GCC 2.5.8 and 2.6.3

Thanks for any help Werner
