I have recently obtained one of these DAT drives, and when using it with Linux
the system reports the tape as being full when only around 300MB has been written
to the tape. On looking inside the drive the tape has only spooled the expected
sixth of the way through the tape.
Could someone please advise on this, and hopefully explain the meanings of the
dip switches in the block on this drive, and the effect of JP1.
In case any Linux gurus read this, yes I have done 'mt setblk 0'.
Thanks
Michael
