Does anyone know where I can get a version of ghostscript with a
driver for a Brother HL-720. I think it's known as hl7x0. I've tried
gs-5.10 and gs-5.50. from Aladdin. GNU's version gs-4.03 does not have
it either.

Or, does anyone know how to get a Brother HL-720 working with RedHat
6.0 with KDE.

The BJC-1000 supposedly works just fine with the bjc600 driver, which
any sensible Ghostscript binary will include.

The Debian gs packages include this driver.  If all else fails, you
can uninstall the Red Hat gs and use "alien" to install the Debian gs
from Debian's "potato" release.

1. Printer woes..

I've recently installed slackware 2.0.0 (kernel 1.1.18) and am having a bit
of trouble with the printer. Whenever I print a "regular" text files
(.c, README, what ever) I get
                             something
                                      like
                                          this
                                              egads!

Any suggestions? Any FAQ/HOWTO's someone can point me towards?

Thanks mucho.
