(com-port connection) ???
I don't have the time to write one...
thanx and bye

Hi everyone,
I recently bought an AVM-Fritz passive ISDN controller card and since
then I try to bring it up under kernel 2.0.25. This card is supposed to
be supported by the S.u.S.E. 4.4 distribution. However I ran into
problems and I appreciate any help.
The hardware configuration of my card is IO=0x200 and IRQ=5. I
recompiled the kernel to include the isdn modules with the following
parameters set in /usr/src/linux/.config:
# ISDN subsystem
#
CONFIG_ISDN=m
CONFIG_ISDN_PPP=y
CONFIG_ISDN_PPP_VJ=y
# CONFIG_ISDN_MPP is not set
# CONFIG_ISDN_AUDIO is not set
# CONFIG_ISDN_DRV_ICN is not set
# CONFIG_ISDN_DRV_PCBIT is not set
CONFIG_ISDN_DRV_TELES=m
In the /etc/rc.config I set the appropiate parameters to start the isdn
port:
I4L_START="yes"
I4L_TELES_ID=""
I4L_PROTOCOL=2
#
# type of HiSax-driver (set to '' for using old teles-modul or within
kernel)
# 1 Teles 16.0 pa=irq pb=membase pc=iobase
# 2 Teles 8.0 pa=irq pb=membase
# 3 Teles 16.3 pa=irq pb=iobase
# 4 Creatix PNP pa=irq pb=IO0 (ISAC) pc=IO1 (HSCX)
# 5 AVM A1 (Fritz) pa=irq pb=iobase
# 6 ELSA PCC16 pa=iobase or nothing for autodetect
#
I4L_TELES_TYPE=5
I4L_TELES_IRQ=5
I4L_TELES_PORT=0x200
I4L_TELES_MEMBASE=0
The problem is that as soon as i4l starts it looks like that interrupt 5
keeps hammering the system at about 250 interrupts/sec and doesn't get
serviced. I assume this is not the normal mode of operation.
Has anybody an idea about what might be wrong?
Many thanks in advance,
S. Sadowski.
