Sony DDS Autoloader TLS-S7000 driver or Backupsoftware?

Post by Stefan Mar » Wed, 16 Feb 2000 04:00:00

Hi there,
I am searching for a driver for a Sony DDS Autoloader TLS-S7000. I found
one for the TLS-S9000, but it refuses to work with the 7000. If there is
no driver, how can i use the device? Is there any backupsoftware (except
Arkeia), that can handle the device? I  found nothing about the drive on
the Amanda Tape list.

Kernel ist 2.2.13-22mdk Linux Mandrake 6.1

cat /proc/scsi/scsi:

Host: scsi0 Channel: 00 Id: 05 Lun: 00
Vendor: SONY     Model: TSL-7000         Rev: A025
Type:   Sequential-Access                ANSI SCSI revision: 02

Thanx,
Stefan

1. Sony TSL-S7000 DDS Autoloader w/ linux?

I have a spare Sony DAT autoloader that I'd like to use for tape
backup, but I'm having trouble locating info on how to get it set up.
Google gave plenty of results concerning the TSL-S9000 model, but I've
seen little to no info on the 7000. Apparently the 9000 was more
linux-friendly.

Has anyone successfully used this drive with linux?

TIA,
Troy Davis
