Very Computer

Hi,
I have an old siemens scienic mobile (Pentium 200 MHz)
Linux Slackware 9.0
I bought a pcmcia ethernet card

eth0: AboComaha FE2000VX

the problem is that I am no more able to shut down the machine :-(
When I isuue the halt command, the systems HALTS before the "power
down",
after displaying

Pcmcia services: cardmgr modules

Any help is appreciated since I already unplugged the power supply many
times
and this is not good :-))
