As far as I'm aware, you'll have to recompile the kernel with PS2 style
mouse support enabled. I think by default, no mice except serial mice are
actually supported until you recompile the kernel.
Cheers.

1. Linux on Acer TravelMate 505T - mouse not recognised
hi there,
I hope someone can help me. I've got this brand new 505T and I installed
Linux Mandrake 6.1. The mouse is not properly recognised! In actual
fact, psaux doesn't point to the touchpad, but to the external mouse
port. If I connect an external mouse, everything works fine. How can I
make the touchpad work???
Please send me suggestions.
Thanks,
Guido =8-)
