Is the Conner/Archive Anaconda 2750 SCSI tape drive supported (DC9135 Cartridge)?

Does anyone know if Linux supports this tape drive.  I am considering its
purchase because Windows NT, OS/2 Warp, and DOS/Windows support the drive.

1. Any tricks to make Archive Anaconda (2750) work at 1.3GB?

My drive will be showing up any day now.  The sales-droid said that it should
work out of the box at 525MB, but something special may need to be done to tell
it to work at 1300MB.  Is this so?  If so, is there a simple utility or an
argument to "mt" to make this happen?
