I've been using an ide superdisk for a while as a backup device at one
of my clients sites.

I also reformat the disks as ext2 by first using fdisk to delete the
four defined msdos partitions, defining one big ext2 partion, and then
runing mke2fs on it.

I would recommend these above the zip drives ( i have a pile of zip
drives that died out of the one year warranty period with the
click-of-death ).
