I did both kernel types.
what ended up fixing it was putting the hdd jumper in the right place(DOH!)
I am using a SATA-PATA converter, it comes with some sata equiped ABIT mobo.
I have an ATA66 hdd connected and forgot to set it for single drive mode.
i m using 64 bit AMD processor on mother bord K8S-MX..i tryed linux-9
AS-3 fedora-3 fedora-4...none support sata HDD..its 200 G.B. SATA
