>HELLO WALLACE:Ok try this.Go to the kde desktop. From the popup menu at
the bottom left pick internet and then kppp.On the first window close it
out.On the second one underneath it hit setup. This is where you will put
the name of your isp provider ans their dns number. This number will be
like 207.192.48.3 for example and should be available from your isp or
their site. Also put in your user name and password for your isp.You will
need to put the modem on the right ttys(com port)For example if in
windows95-98 your modem is on com port1 then in linux its at ttys0.Query
the modem(theres a button for this. look around and you should see it) and
see if it shows an information string on your modem. If it does then its
found your modem. If it says the modem is busy then try other ttys
numbers.Your plug n play in your bios should be cut off.The dns number of
your isp and the ttys number are very important because they identify for
linux where your isp and modem are. These are the basics.GOOD LUCK WAYNE!
