Linux on Dual Pentium System ?

Post by Ashish Go » Wed, 07 Aug 1996 04:00:00

Hi all,

I am thinking of building my own system with Two Pentium 133.
Can anyone comment on whether Linux supports Dual Pentium systems? Also,
if there is a particular Version that supports this configuration,
please let me know that too.

Thanks,
ashish

Check out http://www.linux.org.uk/SMP/title.html
I believe kernel version 1.3.57 and up support it.

Yes it supports this, and any version greater than 2.0.8 works well, I'm
currently using 2.0.11 and have no problems.  Some of the experimental 1.3.x
series had a couple problems with SMP.
