Any help will be greatly appreciated.
I cannot get my Linux system to recognize my 100 Meg. Zip drive. At boot-up,
the system recognizes my SCSI card but times out as it tries to detect the
drives attached to it. I have a PCI Pentium 75 system with an NE2000
compatible
network card on IRQ 11, a Iomega SCSI interface card on IRQ 10. I would be
glad
to supply any other pertinent information.
Questions:
1) The ZIP drive has a termination switch to be set on if the ZIP drive is
the
last one in the chain. Does this mean that I do not need to use some kind
of terminator (if that is what you call it) on the other port.
2) Even though it seems the interface card is detected and the timeouts occur
while Linux tries to detect the ZIP drive, is it possible that the card
is not being detected. (Note: The card is not automatically detected,
I specify irq, port and other info at the loadlin command prompt.)
Thanks for your time!
