Drivers for Aztech sound cards?

Post by umvie.. » Tue, 11 Mar 1997 04:00:00

Hi, anyone know if Aztech sound cards (specifically the Washington 16)
are supported in Linux? (Bundled with the kernel or third party drivers.)

Thanks in advance.

I have the same problem, same card. I hear the new kernel WILL include
support for this card. If you're into loadable modules try:

http://www.4front-tech.com

hope it helps.........

Er...  They are not supported directly.  You can use them as 8-bit SBPros
very easily but, obviously, that's a bit daft for a 16-bit card.  So call
it a Windog Sound System card instead.  The only problem with this is that
you need to hack the initialisation code to tell the cad what to emulate.

I have code to do this for a Washington 16, if anyone wants.

Matthew.
