I can't get Xwindows to run at a resolution higher than 8bit, I'm running
Redhat 5.1 and have been using Xconfigurator to configure the sever. It
autodects my card and uses the s3 server. Everytime I try to go to 16 bit
color I get a core dump. Thanks for any help you can offer

I've got the same card, and in order to get to 16 bit color I had to add
another 1MB memory module on to the card for a total of 2MB card
memory. I think the module was about 10 dollars. Hope this helps.
