After days of trying I still do not get the sound to work under Linux on
my new sony grx (300 series) notebook. The chipset is the new Intel 845
(for Pentium 4 Mobile) and everything works great except sound.
ALSA can detect the chipset as Intel Corporation 82801CA/CAM AC'97 Audio
(rev 02). After configuration seems to work and the module loads fine.
After that the sound is crippled to a few cracking sounds and that is it.
Did anybody experience the same and found a solution? Any clue, anybody?
