Hi!

I have one XT keyboard lying around here and would like to use it with
linux. Is there a chance to do so?

Hi Pavel.  That is indeed an interesting question.  It depends on the
motherboard.  Some motherboards do not like the original keyboard, since
the signals are different.  Some accept both types of keyboards.  I have
a Compaq Deskpro running 2.0.2.  The old keyboard was lost, so I am now
using an old XT keyboard.  It works great.  When I look down, it looks
like an obsolete piece of junk.  When I look up, it looks like (is) a
modern fully powered workstation.  Caution:  this has been found not to
work with all machines.

Is it really worth it?  A new keyboard only costs about $20 US.
