Hello,
I am trying to read a DC6525 tape written with tar under Linux on an
Archive Viper/Conner C2525S streamer (QIC-525, SCSI I) with a Tandberg
TDC3800 streamer (QIC-320,SCSI II according bootmessage, SCSI I
according manual, build for digital).
The kernel log (Linux) says: kernel: st0: Incorrect block size.
I tried multiple blocksizes in 512 byte steps (written on the Archive)
but up to know I did not have success to read the tape.
Are there any further differences between QIC-320 and QIC-525 except
the tape length?
Can the tape be read with the Tandberg or can the Archive Viper write
a tape that way/format that it can be read by the Tandberg?
Please send your answers to my email address because I am not sure if I
can read the news during the easter holidays and our news server stores
to news only for a few days.
Thanks in advance
Carsten
