redhat 5.1 doesn't detect SN2000 (NE2000 clone) ethercard

Post by Chuck X » Thu, 12 Nov 1998 04:00:00

Hi,
I am try to install redhat 5.1 on my P233 machine. But it fails to
detect my SN2000 series ethercard. ( an NE2000 compatiable clone made in
Taiwan).

I am wondering what kind of driver shall I get or what steps I can use
to install it?

Thanks in advance,

chuck

Have you enabled Ethernet-devices (ISA or PCI reffering to your card)
and NE2000 + compatible in your kernel configuration (plus recompiling
the kernel and so on)?

Best Regards,

Gert

If it's plug and play, try disabling plug and play so you can explicitly
set it's I/O and IRQ.
Let me know if this is the solution.  Good luck.
