Redhat 5.0, Cyrix 6x86, Panic

Ok,  I have a Cyrix 6x86  PR200 and IDE hard drive and 96 meg EDO ram.... RedHat 5.0... every
few days I get panics:....

I'd bet on heat. Open it up, blow a fan into the case, turn the
AC to a colder temp. Check and macke sure that the power supply
and any fans in the case actually are blowing...

Thanks for the suggestion.  I've already taken the case off with that in
mind.  I'll add another fan this week and see how it does.  The machines
lives in a 70 degree room so room temp is not too bad.  Plenty of air
movement in the room.

Have you run the "set686" utils?
These allow the cpu to be halted. Since I started using it, my 686 has been
room temp, when cpu usage is 0% ! I use the 2.0.35 kernel.

1. Linux Redhat 5.0 on Cyrix 6x86 PR166+

The problem is after i apply the patch for cyrix my machine type become
iF86 instead of i586 or i686. Therefore if i wanna compile some programs
that need the machine type, it will stop the compilation because iF86 is
unidentified.
Any one know what cause this problem ? and how to solve it ?
