Hi,

I recommend that you check "http://www.mostang.com/sane/"
to be sure there is a driver for your scanner. I just (yesterday)
installed a scanner myself, and it were painless. Since there are
lots of HP drivers , I bought a HP Scanjet 6300C. I downloaded
the sane driver, compiled and tested -- and it worked immediately.

1. Need cheep scanner recommendation

Does any one have a recommendation for a cheap scanner that works out of
the box with Redhat 7.3. I had a Visioneer which I gave away because it
was apparent that there was never going to be any Linux support for it.
What I'm looking for is an inexpensive scanner that is completely
supported on Redhat 7.3 systems.

Thanks,
