Has anyone here attempted to run Linux with an IDT Winchip
CPU? I have a 200MHz, MMX CPU on order. Thinking of replacing my
90MHz Pentium.

I'm running a IDT WinChip C6-180mhz and it run's fine. Under Red
Hat 5 at the login prompt it says it's an i586 processor.
1. idt winchip?
i was wondering, in general, what linux thinks of the idt winchip? are
there any compatability issues?
