Ditto 800 Parallel tape Drive

Does anyone know if the Ditto Easy 800 Parallel tape drive
works under Linux?

Basically, Im looking for an inexpensive (preferably external)
tape drive for doing backups.  Any other suggestions would
be nice.

Im running Slackware v1.2.12.
The Ditto Easy 800 Parallel Tape Drive connects through any
parallel port.  It runs under DOS/WIN95,etc.  and is sold
at stores like Egghead for about $150.

Im just checking to see if it requires a linux driver or not.
(Being a parallel port device rather than IDE, SCSI, etc. sort
of throws me off.)

Thanks for the advice,
Andy Calkins
