Although Olicom is about to release drivers for our PCI and ISA Token-Ring
cards, we have not yet decided to extend our Linux support to include
the PC Cards (ethernet or token-ring). Noticing your e-mail address, a
request from you to our Marketing department might have some effect :-)

If anyone feels like being adventurous, the Olicom PC Cards use an i82595TX
chip which is the same chip used in the EtherExpress Pro cards that do
have a Linux driver. So I guess it ought to be possible to tweak the eepro
driver to work with the PC Cards. Or I may be way off-base; PC Card drivers
are not my line of work.

Regards,

Thanks Henrik,

a) Is there a 'unofficial' guide that provides some idea on how to port
drivers (i.e. take the EtherExpressPro driver and port it to Olicom) and
b) If someone tried to write a port, would Olicom provide any detail
information needed to implement it properly..

1. olicom pcmcia 2220 driver

Hello
Does anybody knows how to make olicom gocard OC2220 pcmcia
work under linux. I can not get information from the company (chips...) and
tried all built in drivers.
Is there a list of generic drivers to try(Intel, 3com,rockwel...).
I am using Redhat 5.2 (Apollo) on my laptop.
My pcmcia rockwel based modem works fine.
Both cards work fine under Windows 98 (and 95)
Thanks
