I've had repeated trouble trying to get my pnp Creative Awe64 working in
Slack 7.  I've played with isapnp and recompiled the kernel.  (2.2.13)
any suggestions??

Please post exactly what the trouble is - I've got the AWE64 working
perfectly in Slack 7.0; what I did is follow the
Soundblaster-AWE-mini-HOWTO to the letter
(http://metalab.unc.edu/pub/Linux/docs/HOWTO/mini/Soundblaster-AWE). Is
your card correctly setup by isapnp? If so, it's just a matter of
inserting the right modules.

Hi,

I've got a Create AWE 64D.  It's is PCI card and for the life of me, I can't
get it to work.  I can't run the isapnp tools obviously.  I've tried to build
the modules for it but nada.  Do you have any idea what I could do to resolve
this problem???

Please help.

cat /proc/pci

find your card

Set the modules up to use that IRQ/DMA/etc...

Have fun.

Well, I also followed the instructions of the mini tutorial, and I can't
seem to get it to work =/

weird, people take prozac to make it normal.

Mandrake 7.1  I know it's a cheesy reply, but it's definately the sweetest dist I've found.
SB AWE64 works great.  Jason

1. Sound Blaster Discover AWE64 sound card

I have a Sound Blaster Discovery AWE 64 audio card on my dual boot machine.
All the websights I see and FAQ's seem mum on it and what I do see says the
AWE32 is problematic.

I know I see this question from time to time on this forum, and I hate beating
a dead horse but, if I can get my nose pointed in the right direction for this
card I would make my day.  Also - BTW - it is Plug and Play and a PCI device.

That's

Not to be rude - but if you can dup an email as well as posting here, I
promise to come back and share the answers and comments.  But I'm still trying
to get the Linux news server up and running.
