Diamond Viper V770-Ultra

I just installed the Viper 770-ultra in my dual boot machine. I get a
very small screen resolution with Linux ( The login window fills the
entire screen). Does anyone know if this board can be used w/R.H. 6.0?
Thanks,
Don

    Yes it can.

Either download the drivers from NVidia's website, or upgrade XFree86
to version 3.3.3.5 (you probably have version 3.3.3.1)

I guess native RH60 has not support for TNT2  based cards.
Go to http://www.nvidia.com for appropriate driver, and follow
instructions.

RH6.1 does support those cards out of box.

Add the line:
  CHIPSET       "TNT2"
under the device in XF86Config

1. Support for Diamond Viper V770 Ultra

I am having problems with my x-resolution.  I am a relative newbie - so
please be nice :).  Could this be because X does not support my card
and it is defalting to the VGA server at 320x200?  Even then it seemes
that my desktop (albeit small) is not whole - it appears to be showing
the top left portion of the desktop, because the RedHat desktop icons
are not all there.  Here are the details of my system:
Dual Boot: Win98 & RedHat 6.1
X-Server: Whatever version comes with RedHat
Video Card: Diamond Viper V770 Ultra 32MB RAM
Monitor: KDS 19sn - Vertical:50-120 Horiz: 30-95

Can anyone help me?  I have run all the config programs: Xconfigurator
(comes w/ RedHat), XF86Config, and XF86Setup to no avail, I have even
tried editing the config file myself... need some help!
