Could someone please explain the terms used when configuring
a PCI bus both in my BIOS (for DOS) and when compiling 1.1.92 kernel.
I haven't had any problems, but I'm curious to know. As I'm sure
tothers would be.

Does the lspci command read the PCI configuration space, or does it just
traverse the in-memory PCI configration tree constructed by the kernel?
